As
most of you know, we had our annual General Assembly on Thursday, November 24.
I wanted to take a quick moment to announce and welcome our two brand new
AmCham Board Members Austin Dolezal
and Chrissy Wang.
Also, Ed Camargo moved from being a Board alternate
into a position of an active Board member.
We
are very excited to have these three on board. They are all very capable and
are bringing to the table lots of new energy and new ideas. I expect this
next year to be quite exciting.
Also,
I would like to welcome Mr. Gordon K. Lin and Mr. Kevin Putzke as alternates on
the Board of Directors. It's very comforting to know that if any of our
board members need to step down for any reason, we have two such capable people
to take their place.
I
look forward to seeing you all very soon with new and exciting new developments
that we're currently working on.
Starting
today, AmCham Members can enjoy speedier immigration service when entering Taiwan. This program, which was initially proposed
to the ROC government by the European Chamber of Commerce (ECCT), allows AmCham
members with an Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) to apply for an express
immigration inspection at designated inspection counter(s) in Taiwan Taoyuan
International Airport when business traveling.
Who’s eligible:
Taichung AmCham & ECCT Members with ARC and
foreign passports
(Staff of member companies is not eligible)
