Feb. 14 Happy Hour visits all-new location

 Taichung AmCham’s relaxing monthly Happy Hour gathering will head to an all-new location on Tuesday, Feb. 14 at 7 p.m.—Little Mexico Restaurant (6, WuQuan 6th St, West District, just off of Art Museum Parkway; tel. 2378-2278).  No reservations are necessary for this social time, which is open to all and will feature a selection of drinks and authentic Mexican cuisine.

ANNUAL AMCHAM TAICHUNG KID CHARITY GALA 台中美國商會年度兒童慈善晚會

Launched in 2009, this annual charity gala is a fundraising event that includes five-star dining,live music and a silent auction. It is a fun-filled evening that attracts over a hundred guests, including AmCham members and other guests from various industries and organizations around Taiwan. Funds raised at this event support high school tuitions and a daily milk-and-juice program for children at the Taichung Christian Herald Orphanage. At the 2011charity gala, AmCham Taichung raised over NT$800,000. Through this event, it is hoped that AmCham Taichung and the community at large can continue working together to make a profound difference in the lives of these disadvantaged children.

 
於 2009年推出，這個一年一度的慈善晚會是一個籌款活動，其中包括五星級餐廳，現場音樂和無聲拍賣。是一個充滿樂趣的晚會，吸引了近一百位嘉賓，包括美國商會會員及其他來自台灣各地不同行業和組織。本次活動所籌集的資金以台中光音育幼(嬰)院為主。項目為高中的學費和日常的牛奶果汁。在2011年慈善 晚會，台中美國商會籌得超過新台幣 80萬元。我們希望透過這次活動能增進台中美國商會及其他社群合作並且能夠繼續共同努力，來改變這些弱勢兒童的生命。
